From One Retriever Owner To Another
Hi there, As I said earlier my name is Scott. I live in Canada with my family and our Labrador retriever, Angus. I have been fortunate enough to own black Labradors for over the past 15 years. My Labrador Angus is an important and much loved member of our family.
I enjoy working out, and I take Angus on rambling walks daily. Interestingly, Angus is a very laid back retriever who is not especially enthusiastic about running or fetching. (I don't think he realizes he is meant to be a "retriever".) Angus is a very relaxed dog who absolutely adores children, and loves the fact that I work out of my home office. Angus is particularly social, and just loves it when we entertain with our friends.
In the past I was in the unfortunate position of owning another black Labrador called Lincoln, who turned into a dog with aggression issues, possibly as the result of a brain tumor, and sadly, he had to be put down at quite a young age.
As a direct result of our behavioral problems with Lincoln, I have attended many courses and classes on effective dog ownership. I have read numerous books about retrievers, and given advice to other retriever owners. Our situation with Lincoln was tragic, and I am determined to assist other retriever owners with compassion and empathy, along with sharing my vast experience. Since owning Lincoln I have become educated in retriever management.

Avail yourself of superior products to ensure that your retriever has a happy and healthy life with you. This retriever site has been created as a community and forum for dog lovers, and in particular, for the family pet owner.
I firmly believe that family life and a retriever go hand in hand. They complement each other beautifully. As Roger Caras expresses it so succinctly: "For me a house or an apartment becomes a home when you add one set of four legs, a happy tail, and that indescribable measure of love we call a dog."
I look forward to meeting you, and possibly your retriever, as well.
Warmly, Scott
